Breville company has a long history of making the best kitchen appliances since 1932 when it started in Sydney, Australia. That's why I wasn't surprised to find that it really excelled in producing its Breville Barista Touch espresso machine. It really dazzled me and my team members with its cutting-edge features. First, it's so easy to choose your preferred drink from a lot of options on its color touch screen, making it a perfect choice for busy (or lazy) coffee enthusiasts like me. Plus, you can adjust your shot volume, milk texture and temperature to your preferences, then save these for future use. It's really an easy espresso machine to deal with even for new coffee enthusiasts.
There's an integrated bean hopper and a built-in conical burr grinder which allow you to adjust your bean grind up to 0.2 gram. This ensures that the optimal amount of coffee grounds for each shot. Plus, the grounds are delivered directly to the portafilter basket, which eliminates all the mess and wasted coffee. The pre-infusion feature which wets the coffee grounds evenly before water is pressured though by a full pump, leads to maximizing the flavor extraction.
It's really amazing, how the espresso comes out full-bodied with an intense complexity from this espresso machine, something which is usually found only in the finest cafes. Oh and the crema! It was velvety and long-lasting, coating the sides of the coffee cup, and I enjoyed it to the fullest.
The Breville Barista Touch has many features that makes it stand out among other espresso machines in its class; first there's the automatic Hands-Free Milk Texturing feature, then there's the automatic purge function and last but not least, the Razor Dose Trimming Tool, which I believe is a clever addition, as it ensures consistent extraction of coffee every time.
And in addition, I found that heating up takes only 3 seconds, which is time saving. Then let's not forget that this magnificent espresso machine has an Instant Hot Water outlet, which provides hot water for making Americanos or used for pre-heating your cups.
So, if you're like to elevate your morning coffee cup I believe the Breville Barista Touch espresso machine is the perfect choice for you.

Coffee oils coat the hot working surfaces of the espresso machine’s group head. If the oils are not
removed, they will spoil the delicate espresso flavour. Use head clean shampoo to remove baked-on,
rancid oils, leaving the group head surfaces squeaky clean.
Once every few days you will need to back flush using head clean shampoo, to ensure you are cleaning the
group heads properly.
Scrub the group head with the head clean brush, running it around the group head to remove any
coffee grind residues.
Place ¼ of a teaspoon of Head Clean Shampoo in to your blank/blind disk.
Put the filter handle into the coffee machine as though you were going to make coffee and start
the water flow.
Count to ten and repeat this process three times. You should see white froth coming from the
bottom of the group head via the exhaust tube. (In some machines this part is internal and you will
not see the froth, but this is nothing to worry about).
Lastly run the continuous flow button on the group until no further white froth can be seen.
How Often Should You Use Head Clean Shampoo?
If you are making 150+ coffees per day, then you should complete this process every second day, if not
every day. If you are making less than 100 coffees per day, you should repeat this process twice a week.
